Scholarship Overview

Awards: Two scholarship awards in the amount of $2500 each, one award per winner. 

Close Date: April 1st, 2025

The Metrohm USA STEM Scholarships were created to provide financial support and recognition to high school students pursuing education and careers in STEM fields. 
These scholarships aim to encourage, empower and enable students to excel in disciplines that are often critical to technological advancement, scientific discovery and innovation.

Eligibility

  • Must be a graduating senior from any high school in Hillsborough County Public Schools
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher based on a 4.0 scale
  • Must be accepted for full-time study at an accredited college or university and provide proof of acceptance
  • Must have completed at least 75 hours of community service and provide proof of hours
  • Must write an essay on how they plan to use their STEM degree (500 words or less)

Award Celebration

Each winner will be notified via email no later than May 31st, 2025. They will also be announced on our social media platforms and internal communications to Metrohm employees. 

Furthermore, each award recipient will have the exciting opportunity to personally connect with our scientists, providing the chance to build meaningful connections and explore the fascinating world of our state-of-the-art instruments in action.

The selection committee will base the awarding of scholarships on the applicants’ personal background, academic abilities, leadership traits and character. Scholarships will be awarded without regard to sex, race, color, creed, national origin, religious or political affiliation.

Scholarship funds may be used only to assist in the financing of the recipient’s undergraduate actual out‐of‐pocket expenses that are payable directly to the school for tuition, fees, books and materials or room and board. Payments must be made directly to the school. 

The scholarship recipient may attend any qualified college or university within the US offering an undergraduate degree in STEM. Upon written request to Metrohm USA, a recipient may transfer from one institution to another and retain the award. This request should include the name of the institution, mailing address and name of the financial aid contact.
