Improving Process Control with Online and At-line Moisture Measurements

Water content is a critical process parameter. The amount of water at each step in the product process impacts corrosion rates in infrastructure, reaction rates and final product quality. At moisture levels below a few hundred ppm, specific sample preparation requirements and environmental impacts make analysis difficult for both online and offline measurements.

In this webcast, we will discuss proven approaches to quantitatively measure moisture below 500 ppm with near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. Using examples from solvent recycling and propylene oxide production, Stacey Carrier from Hellma USA and Dr. Adam J. Hopkins from Metrohm USA will discuss the key aspects of spectroscopic method building and explore implementation strategies for both at-line and online analysis.
